Thanks for both suggestions. Formats and recon vs modelling aren’t well covered. i think though there is more battle within AR/VR for Hollywood/propietary or open standards. I know quite a few people in AR promoting open standards. In VH a point closer to home is probably the lack of open and accessible VH models https://www.mdpi.com/2071-1050/11/8/2425/htm

Also in a recent meeting around a grant proposal, I had a very brief interaction around metadata and standards. I saw how AR/VR/XR wants/follow commercial or Hollywood standards while Virtual heritage especially when aligning with Museum studies would need something more open, robust and comprehensive.
Just some pointers, I am not even sure if those are in the right direction or valid ones.
